I want to personally thank the Heerdt family for purchasing books from the book fair for the Kindergarten classroom. Howie personally picked out which books he would like our classroom to have.
During gym class, we earned pennies instead of stickers! We played a game called "Slide the Pennies." We had to hold pennies behind our backs and slide from one spot to another and drop the pennies into a cup. It was a lot of fun and we all got to keep the pennies!
While looking at our lima bean plant, I saw that a wasp had flown into the bag. So, I sealed the bag closed to keep the wasp in there until I could take it outside to let it go. a little while later, I realized that one of the leaves of the lima bean plant was quite a bit smaller. Then I saw the wasp eating one of the other leaves. We shared our finding with the 4th grade class, because they love to look at insects and animals.
Today, we visited the book fair and wrote down some books that we would like. It is a special book fair. If you buy one book, you can get another book that is the same price or cheaper for FREE!
We will go back to the book fair tomorrow morning @ 8:30. If you bring in money, you will get to purchase some books. If you want your child to buy specific books, please write a note to Mrs. Sights. Thanks!
Thank you to our wonderful room parents (Velvet Wathen, Mandy Bryant, & Tina Vaught) our class had a very fun afternoon. We decorated an Easter Egg frame, had a snack, and even went on an Easter egg hunt!
