SHH! It's a secret!

We worked on a special project today. I very sorry to say that I can't tell you about it today, but I'm sure that you will see it soon!

May Crowning

The crowning of Mary at mass this morning went beautifully. I was so proud of this class and how they worked together as a team. What an angelic group of children!

5 pennies = 1 nickel

One of this month's calendar activities is depositing money each day and keeping track of how much we have. Each day we deposit 1 penny. Today, we deposited our fifth penny. Last week we learned that 5 pennies are in a nickel, so we traded the 5 pennies for 1 nickel.

Clock Rock! (song by Dr. Jean)

While learning about time today, we also learned a new song. The following is just the first part of the song:

Clock Rock!

One, two, three o’clock, four o’clock rock,

Five, six, seven o’clock, eight o’clock rock,

Nine, ten, eleven o’clock, twelve o’clock rock,

We’re gonna rock around the clock today!

Well the small hand tells the hour for you,

And the big hand tells the minutes too.

When you put them together, what have you got?

You’ve got the time and that’s a lot –

And we can rock, rock, rock around the clock all day!

What do you get when you mix...

Our story this week talks about mixing colors to get new colors. Today, we used ONLY red, yellow, and blue paint to create a beautiful rainbow. We mixed red & yellow to make the orange, yellow & blue to make the green, and finally blue & red to make the purple.

May Crowning Practice

Today is the first practice for May Crowning. The Kindergarten class will participate in this week's mass by bringing flowers to a statue of Mary, and then crowning her with flowers. We would love for you to come and celebrate mass with us.

Thanks for a WONDERFUL lunch!

A big THANKS to PTA, Mrs. Bryant, and Mrs. Heerdt for a very relaxing and enjoyable lunch.

Thank you, Mrs. Bryant & Mrs. Heerdt, for taking such good care of my class while I enjoyed the wonderful food from Archie & Clyde's Roca-Bar.

Thank you PTA for organizing all of the great activities for this week. I love my jar of reasons the students love me. One of my personal favorites: "She gives us a good day... sometimes."

Finally, THANK YOU to all of you for being a great group of parents.
