Back in the swing of things

Our first day back after Christmas break!  The children came in well rested and ready to get back into our routines.  I told them that the school year is almost half over, and we will start getting them ready for 1st grade!

WE'VE BEEN INVADED!

The Kindergarten classroom has been invaded by GERMS!  We had several students sick today.  I had a talk with the students that if they feel like they are going to vomit, they should go straight to one of the trash cans and carry it either to the restroom or the office. I also reminded them that they do not need to ask first if they feel like they are going to be sick.

After school today, I will be cleaning our room thoroughly!  Please remind your children to wash their hands and get plenty of rest this weekend.  I hope to see everyone back at school and healthy on Monday.

Optional Dress on Thursday

Mr. Memmer is rewarding our good behavior by giving us an optional dress day tomorrow, Thursday, December 9!

John Angotti Concert

John Angotti came over to visit us after the concert. Of course, all of the children wanted to give him a hug.

Thanksgiving surprise

Mr. Memmer announced this morning that as a reward for such a great start to the school year, we will get to wear optional dress tomorrow!

Symmetry

Today in math class, we talked about lines of symmetry.  Ask your child if they can explain what this big word means.  Then, ask them if they can show you some things around the house that have lines of symmetry.
