The Magic Fish

What do you think a magic fish looks like?

This was the question on our morning message today. At story time, we listened to the story, "The Fisherman & His Wife." The story had a magic fish that gave the fisherman anything that he asked for. Only, the fisherman did not want anything, he was perfectly happy. His wife, however, kept wanting bigger and better things. Finally, the magic fish took everything away from the fisherman and his wife, so that their lives would get back to normal.

After listening to the story, we drew a magic fish and cut it out. These magic fish are displayed in the hallway outside of our classroom.

Officer Friendly

Officer Friendly came to our class today. He talked to us about what a police officer is and what they do. He also talked to us about STRANGERS. He taught us about the three types of strangers: good strangers, bad strangers, and unknown strangers. We talked about who to go to for help if you get lost in a store. He even gave us some cool new pencils for our school work.

Book Swap

Holy Spirit's Brownie Troop has been collecting books for the book swap. Today, we went into the meeting room and were able to choose one book that we would like to take home. This was a lot of fun!

Fish Faces

We read a story about some of the interesting fish that live in the ocean. It had really cool photographs of some of the fish. Later, some of us wrote about our favorite kinds of fish.
